Falconia, the Cloaked Home World was founded by the Falconian people on May 24, 2394 (Stardate 2394.0524). Its function is to provide the Falconian people a safe refuge from the many years of persecution.

Thousands of years ago, the Falconian people lived on Earth. At that time they had the power of natural flight. They lived in a remote corner of the planet later known as Easter Island, where most of the area was grassland without any trees or bushes over ten feet high. Possessing a limited but unique ecology, the region was effectively isolated from the rest of the planet. The Falconians lived here for around a hundred thousand years according to their own historical accounts, but the rise to dominance of the human race and its eventual exploration of the planet's remoter areas led to the discovery of the Falconian people and inevitible conflict. Many Falconians were brutally slaughtered by the humans, and some of those who survived managed to escape to other planets.

The Falconians continued to face persecution throughout the galaxy, hunted by many alien species for sport while they still had the power of free flight. Over many generations their ability to fly disappeared - Falconian legend claims that this happened because of their fear of being different and being persecuted, but it was likely a result of spending such large amounts of time within small spacecraft. Although this all happened many millenia ago, the Falconians still feel a natural flying instinct and have a strong distrust of any humanoid species who engage in hunting for sport. The Falconians do not believe in building artificial structures or buildings on land, preferring to set up home in natural caves. Their way of life is based on causing as little disruption to the surrounding environment as possible. They have never-the-less managed to develop significant technological advances. Their current home planet of Falconia is now cloaked and its people have been left largely undisturbed.

It is now the year 2394, Centurys after their flight from Earth.
